THE OLD MAN STOOD UP AND STRETCHED OUT HIS HANDS TOWARD HEAVEN, HIS FINGERS BECAME LIKE TEN LAMPS OF FIRE AND HE SAID, IF YOU WILL, YOU CAN BECOME ALL FLAME.

SACRED BEAUTY began in 2014 with philosophers, theologians, musicians, artists, liturgists, students, clergy and laity,
gathering in community and fellowship, devoted to mutual formation, study, discussion, research, writing and dialogue, en route to an authentic understanding of the metaphysics of beauty, and transformative artistic production in the Catholic tradition.
In September of 2014, one of our founders met the Most Rev. Frank J. Caggiano, Bishop of Bridgeport, at a church reception. Bishop Frank took an immediate interest in our work, and we have been in regular contact with him since then.
Much of 2015 went into philosophical and theological development, artistic support and material preparations for the Carnegie Hall premiere of Mass of the Divine Shepherd, a choral-orchestral work composed by an original group participant:(http://www.julianrevie.com/artist.php?view=prog&rid=2593).
In 2016, we began leading public Eucharistic Holy Hours in the Diocese of Bridgeport; we have since added public Adorations in the neighboring Archdioceses of Hartford and New York, and in the nearby Dioceses of Brooklyn and Norwich, CT; we have led as of now over 350 hours of public Eucharistic Adoration over this time. Some of the art and music found on this site was created for (or in the context of) these Adorations - to, we hope, the honor and glory of God, manifested in the Sacred Presence of Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament.
In 2018, we were formally recognized as an approved Private Association of the Faithful in the Diocese of Bridgeport.

Beauty... forms a halo, an untouchable crown around the double constellation of the true and the good and their inseparable relation to one another.
